Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 20, 2026

This policy is a template provided for convenience and is not legal advice. It should be reviewed and customized by a qualified attorney for your entity, jurisdictions, and business practices before reliance.

1. Introduction

Bubbs Kitchen ("we," "us," or "our") operates a web application that helps users create, discover, and manage cannabis-infused recipes and topicals, calculate dosage estimates, and organize shopping lists and collections (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By creating an account or using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

Account information: your email address, a display name (username), profile photo, birthdate, and bio that you choose to provide.

Recipe and usage data: recipes you create or save, dietary tags, dosage calculations and history, shopping list items, collections, ratings, and recently viewed recipes.

Automatically collected data: device type, browser, approximate location (region/country), usage logs, and cookies or similar technologies when you interact with the Service.

Sensitive information: because the Service concerns cannabis, we collect information you voluntarily provide about cannabis use (e.g., strains and dosage). This is sensitive in many jurisdictions and is treated with heightened care as described below.

3. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account, authenticate you, and keep the Service secure.

To store and display your recipes, saved favorites, shopping lists, collections, dosage history, and ratings.

To improve, personalize, and develop the Service, and to analyze aggregate usage trends.

To send service-related notices (e.g., security alerts, policy changes) and, where you opt in, product updates.

To process subscriptions and billing, and to comply with legal obligations.

4. Cannabis-Related & Sensitive Data

Information about cannabis possession, use, or preparation may be legally sensitive and, in some jurisdictions, self-incriminating. You provide any such information voluntarily and at your own risk.

Dosage figures produced by the Service are estimates only and are not medical advice.

We minimize retention of sensitive details, restrict access to authorized personnel, and allow you to delete dosage history and recipes at any time from the app.

5. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information.

We share information with service providers who help operate the Service (e.g., hosting, authentication, email, analytics, payments) under contracts that require confidentiality and reasonable security.

We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.

In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred subject to this policy.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.

You may delete recipes, dosage history, shopping lists, and collections at any time. You may request account deletion from Settings; upon deletion, we remove or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest for sensitive data.

No system is perfectly secure. We will notify you of a breach affecting your personal information where required by law.

8. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, or restrict the use of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing or "sales"/"sharing."

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you may request disclosure of categories of personal information collected, deletion, and correction, and you may not be discriminated against for exercising rights.

EU/UK residents (GDPR/UK GDPR): you may exercise rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and may withdraw consent at any time.

To exercise any right, use the Account Deletion tool in Settings or contact us through the Report a Problem section.

9. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, remembering preferences, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit some features.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for adults of legal cannabis-consumption age and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. State & Regional Notices

Some states require additional disclosures. For residents of states with specific privacy laws (e.g., California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia), this policy serves as the required notice, and the rights described in Section 8 apply.

If you are a Nevada resident, you may opt out of the sale of certain personal information under Nevada law.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or by email.

13. Contact Us

If you have questions about this policy or your data, submit a report through the Report a Problem section in Settings. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
